What to put in the escort brief before we arrive
The difference between a six-hour assessment and a wasted morning is usually not the sensor count. It is whether the escort knows which door is locked, which MCC bucket is live, and which tank farm requires a radio check-in.
Write one page. Name the site as the gate guard knows it. List confined spaces we will not enter. Mark cabinets that must stay closed. Name the person who can isolate 480 V if a gland has to be opened. Note dogs, night lighting, and whether the canteen is open, because field days run long.
Attach a sensor map even if it is a photograph of a whiteboard. We would rather follow a messy map than invent a route that walks you past the same skid four times.
