Sensor health assessment
A scheduled visit to inspect probes, gateways, and mounting points, then compare live readings against what the equipment is actually doing on the ground.
Who it is for
Plant supervisors, well-site operators, and facilities staff who rely on temperature, vibration, pressure, or level sensors on equipment they cannot stand beside every hour.
What you leave with
A written health record for each sensor in scope: mounting condition, reading behaviour over the visit window, drift notes, and a plain-language list of what should be repaired, recalibrated, or left alone.
Scope
One site or one named asset group. Typical scope is 8–40 sensors plus the local gateway that collects them. Larger fleets are split across consecutive visit days rather than rushed into a single pass.
Included
- Pre-visit review of the last two weeks of stored readings you already hold locally
- Physical inspection of housings, cable glands, brackets, and power at each tagged sensor
- Side-by-side check of a handheld reference reading against the sensor’s reported value
- Gateway uptime and buffer notes for the visit window
- A field packet: tagged photos, a sensor table, and recommended next actions
Not included
- Replacement parts, welding, or electrical installation
- Holding or transmitting funds, keys, or exchange accounts
- Continuous 24/7 remote staffing after we leave the site
- Changes to your control-system logic unless separately agreed in writing
Who attends
A Resource Flowhub field assessor travels with a second reader for notes. The local tracking utility on a laptop is used only to compare files you already keep on site; it does not reach into wallets or broker accounts.
Sequence
- You send a sensor list and a preferred access window by email or phone.
- We confirm site rules, escort needs, and whether the asset is live or isolated.
- On the day we walk the route, tag each device, and record reference readings.
- Within five working days we return the field packet by email as a document, not as a login to a hosted product.
Duration
Most single-building or single-pad assessments take one working day on site (about 6–8 hours including a short close-out with the escort). Two-pad or multi-building routes are quoted as consecutive days.
Where
On the asset. We work from the Florida office address for scheduling and travel planning. Remote conversation is used only to prepare the visit, not as a substitute for looking at the hardware.
Preparation
Have a current sensor map or even a marked printout. Arrange escort and permits. Isolate or flag live high-voltage cabinets you do not want opened. Export a local copy of recent readings if you keep them on a site PC.
Limits
We do not enter confined spaces without your written permit and attendant. Night work is available only when the site already runs a night shift and lighting is adequate for close inspection of glands and labels.
